Tarot for Creatives Who Can’t Pick a Niche (& Don’t Want To)

⟡ Why Tarot Belongs in Your Business (Especially When You’re Spiraling)

There’s something unspoken about the way tarot meets you exactly where you are.

When you’re spiraling in too many ideas, when nothing’s flowing, when your brand starts to feel like a costume instead of a mirror, tarot has a way of cutting through the noise. This is about clarity, alignment, and a gut-check from your higher self.

It’s one of the first things I reach for when I start my day, whether I’m sketching a website for a client or unraveling a mental knot of my own. Because if business is personal (& tbh it always is), then your energy deserves to be in the room too.

Tarot helps me pull the thread that ties a person’s soul to their brand, and when I’m feeling blocked or burnt out, it gently hands that thread back to me.

🔍 Inside This Guide:

Some days you just need the right question. Some days you need a whole spread.

In this post, I’m sharing three of my go-to tarot layouts:

  • One for untangling creative blocks
  • One for getting clear on your brand’s voice + visuals
  • And one for mapping the soul of your business and where it’s headed

Use them daily or stash them away for “wtf am I doing?” emergencies. Either way, they’ll help you feel a little more rooted and a lot more you.

⟡ Creative Blocks + The Chaos Brain Spread

Let’s Talk About It:

We’ve all been there. Foggy head. Empty page. You start second-guessing everything… your ideas, your abilities, your entire reason for doing this. That kind of block hits deep, especially when your work is personal.

For me, tarot is how I come back to center. It’s part of my morning ritual, like coffee for the soul. When I skip it, my day feels off. Like I’m designing on autopilot instead of intention.

When I’m stuck, I pull out this simple spread. Nothing fancy, but powerful def enough to shift something in me.

“Unlock Your Creative Flow” Spread

(This is a three-card spread with an optional fourth + if you want to involve the shadow card. Go with your gut!)

  • Card 1: What’s clogging up your creative flow right now?
  • Card 2: What energy or belief do I need to release?
  • Card 3: What inspiration wants to move through me?
  • Card 4 (Optional): What’s one practical step I can take today?
  • Shadow card (bottom of the deck): What unseen force is at play here?

Real Talk:

Last time I did this spread, the Queen of Cups came up first, which honestly felt like getting called out for ignoring my emotional state. I’d been so in my head about launching new offers that I was completely disconnected from how I was actually feeling. The Wheel of Fortune followed and then the Magician. That combo hit like a reminder that change is already in motion, I just had to show up for it and trust my own skill. The Seven of Pentacles nudged me to stay patient, keep planting, and quit trying to rush the harvest. That reading didn’t just unstick me, recalibrated me and brought me back into rhythm.

⟡ Clarify Your Brand Without Cutting Pieces of Yourself Off

Finding the Core

When I was shaping my brand, I kept swinging between extremes. I tried to force it into a single aesthetic, but nothing clicked because I’m not just one thing, and my brand couldn’t be either.

So I stopped trying to over-explain myself and started pulling cards instead. My Ethereal Visions deck has always had a way of cutting through the static over the years. That reading helped me name the energy I’d been circling around but couldn’t articulate.

That’s what tarot does. It doesn’t tell you what fonts to pick or whether your IG grid is on-brand. It gets underneath it all and reflects your core. And when your brand speaks from that place people feel it.

“Brand Vision & Clarity” Spread

  • Card 1: What’s at the core of my brand’s message?
  • Card 2: What values anchor my brand?
  • Card 3: How can I visually express my brand’s soul?
  • Card 4: What energy does my audience need from me right now?

How to Use It:

Pull a card and write from it. If you pull The High Priestess for card one? Your brand might be all about inner knowing, softness, sacred rebellion. If you get The Tower for card four? Maybe your audience needs a little shake-up with your truth, raw and unfiltered.

These cards can become literal brand prompts. Copy. Moodboards. Mantras. Let them shape the vibe.

⟡ Tarot for Vision-Planning Without Losing the Plot

Planning from a Higher Place

Your business is an entity. A being. It has its own rhythm and its own lessons for you.

And while I’m a big fan of spreadsheets and launch timelines, I’m also a believer in consulting the unseen. I like to map my business moves to the moon, and let tarot help me figure out when to push, when to pause, and when to pivot completely.

This spread is my go-to when I’m planning a big shift or feeling disconnected from my bigger vision.

Business Growth & Visioning Spread

  • Card 1: Where’s my business at energetically right now?
  • Card 2: What should I focus on for growth?
  • Card 3: What opportunity is ready to be explored?
  • Card 4: What challenges might come up, and how do I face them?
  • Card 5: What will it feel like to reach my next milestone?

How to Use It:

Pull The Magician for Card 2? Focus on what you already know how to do. Empress in Card 5? Your next level might be less about hustle, more about being.

This is strategy filtered through intuition and soul.

⟡ Tarot as a Co-Creator, Not Just a Crisis Button

You don’t need a “good reason” to pull cards. Sometimes, just sitting with them clears the static. Tarot gives form to the chaos, makes space for insight, and reminds you that you already have everything you need, it’s just waiting to be seen.

So whether you’re blocked, branding, or building something from scratch, these spreads are yours to play with. Let them guide you deeper into yourself, your message, and your mission.
